About Us

Founders Amber Nesbitt and Amy Liss bring over 12 years of combined experience leading the Sexual Allegations Unit (SAU) in the Chicago Public Schools Office of Inspector General—the nation’s only independent body dedicated to investigating K–12 staff sexual misconduct. Serving the country’s third-largest district, they oversaw more than 2,500 cases, ranging from clear sexual abuse to boundary-crossing behaviors that raised grooming concerns.

As Deputy Inspector General, Amber led the 30-member SAU, approved nearly 1,000 reports, directed training protocols, and coordinated district-wide corrective action. Amy personally investigated more than 200 high-profile cases and, as Chief Investigator, supervised a team of seven investigators.

Together, they modernized investigative processes, strengthened prevention efforts through data-driven insights, and built the SAU’s national reputation for excellence in independent oversight. Recognizing that most districts lack specialized, impartial teams for these sensitive cases, they founded Campus Integrity Group to share their expertise nationwide—providing practical, legally sound guidance to help schools prevent harm, respond effectively, and create safer environments for students and staff.

With deep, firsthand knowledge of K–12 environments, Amber and Amy know how to balance student safety, compliance obligations, resource restraints, and procedural fairness within the realities of school life.
