About Us
F ounders Amber Nesbitt and Amy Liss bring over 12 years of combined experience leading the Sexual Allegations Unit (SAU) in the Chicago Public Schools Office of Inspector General, the nation’s only independent body dedicated to investigating K–12 staff sexual misconduct. Serving the country’s third-largest district, they oversaw more than 2,500 cases, ranging from clear sexual abuse to boundary-crossing behaviors that raised grooming concerns.
After more than a decade on the front lines of K-12 misconduct investigations, Amber and Amy saw the same challenge play out again and again: when a serious allegation arose, schools were often left navigating an incredibly complex situation without the specialized expertise, independence, or capacity to handle it with the care, objectivity, and precision these situations demand. Some outside firms bring legal knowledge but not investigative depth. General HR consultants bring process experience but not the nuanced understanding of K-12 environments, trauma-informed practice, and the specific legal frameworks that govern schools.
Campus Integrity Group was founded to fill that gap, bringing the kind of specialized, independent, deeply experienced support that every school deserves but few have had access to.
What Makes Us Different
Most consultants come to K-12 school safety from the outside looking in. Amber and Amy understand the pressures school leaders face, the sensitivities that come with staff and student relationships, the intersection of employment law and Title IX, and the very real consequences when investigations go wrong.
Firsthand experience is what Campus Integrity Group brings to every engagement, whether it's a single investigation, a prevention training, or a full compliance review. With deep knowledge of K–12 environments, Amber and Amy know how to balance student safety, compliance obligations, resource restraints, and procedural fairness within the realities of educational settings.
